Island hopping, El Nido ~ Philippines

One of the main reasons El Nido attracts almost every tourist travelling the Philippines is because it's the gateway to the absolutley stunning Bacuit archipelago. Crystal clear water, isolated beaches and limestone karst cliffs just makes you religious. To enjoy the beautiful sceneries that the Philippine nature has to offer you can book a huge variety of tours. You can go by private boat or public boat and you can choose from 4 different routes and also if you want to go over a day or if you want to camp two or three nights on the hidden beaches. So many options and it's impossible to know what the best option is. We were supposed to go camping with some girls we met in Malapascua but after been waiting for them for many days we just did a whole day tour instead with our friends from the hostel. I'm not lying to you, I enjoyed it.

Because of a small typhoon in El Nido all tours got canceled and we were told the cancellations were going to last for at least three days, so we were very sad. What is there to do in a beach paradise for three days with a storm going on? We were sad about the fact that the sun dance doesn't always work but woke up the day after the storm with a clear blue sky and without a wind. We went to the fisherman village and booked a private boat to do the two most famous tours, tour A and tour C. We paid 13 USD each for the tour and for lunch and then we had to pay an extra 3 USD for renting the kayaks. Since we didn't to the public tour I'm not sure we went to all the places that usually are included in tour A and C, but we went to different islands and caves and lagoons and it all was drop dead gorgeous. It sounds cheesy but I couldn't believe my eyes.

Actually, I don't know what words I should use to actually promote this archipelago as much as it deserves it. I will let the pictures talk. Sometimes that's enough.

Like I said there are kayaking rentals by one of the lagoons so we raced against our friends Sweden and Madrid and won of course (when we actually understood how to turn).

This day was my absolute favorite day in El Nido with all great people we met there and with the weather and with the environment and just everything made me want to do the same tour the day after as well. Anyway, during the tour both me and Mollie burned our faces off and got so exhausted from climbing into caves and dropping our jaws so when we got back we just wanted to sleep. But Pukka bar is always an option, don't forget that kids.
