What's a better way to celebrate Halloween than throwing yourself into a big dark pool in the Mexican jungle? We grabbed a picnic bag and took a local bus out of town. "TO THE BEST CENOTE!!!" we said to the driver (because here there is no reason why there can't be a busstop on the high way - they just drop you anywhere). And we ended up in what seemed to be a forgotten little entrance between jungle and more jungle. We followed a little road, payed way too much money to a tired man in some kind of reception and kept walking... Not knowing where the hell we had ended up. 

 

But you shouldn't always trust your first instincts. All of a sudden we stumbled on this big big hole in the ground, surrounded by people and pumpkins and kids in halloween costumes. Well, ok. And that's the story of how we ended up in Eden cenote on a cloudy sunday in late October.
