Okey kids! Day two in Moalboal started off with a mango breakfast and after that we jumped into a van that took us through jungle and fish markets and all the way (like 5 kilometers... or actually 20) to Kawasan falls. This is a really big area of waterfalls where a lot of people daily come to do canyoning or canyoneering, call it whatever you want. This means travelling in canyons using different techniques such as climbing, jumping and hiking through the waterfalls. But, the Kawasan falls aren't just like "normal" waterfalls. No no no, let me warn you. This waterfall is often called one of the "pearls of the Philippines" and is a three stage cascade. Here you lose your eyes and drop your pants when you see the color of the water. Blue. But not blue, I mean BLUE. Yeah, I'll do my best to show you what I mean.

Our amazing guide found two old coconuts on our way through the jungle. He crushed them with a rock and then invited the whole group to eat.
Canyoning this waterfall means that you come a cross a lot of cliffs that you can (only if you have the guts to) jump from right into the lagoon. We started with low jumps and ended with running and jumping out of a ten meter high cliff right into this turqoise water. Looks like it's made out of some kind of caramel quemical colors, right?

The canyoning took us through the most beautiful scenery. The cascades, the green jungle and women doing their laundry in the river while their kids were playing with plastic bags. It all felt pretty surreal.
Five hours later we arrived at a beach cold, with scratched knees, tired bodies and hungry tummies. The guides served us salad, potato, fish, pork, rice and bananas and then we just inhaled our food in silence before we jumped into the van and got brought back to Moalboal and our hostel next to the twenty non stop barking dogs.
For this canyoning trip we paid like 50 USD each which included transport, lunch, guide and equipment (like helmet and really worn out shoes) and I would really recommend doing this if you pass by Moalboal at some point in your life. The scenery around the Kawasan waterfalls is just something really special.
When we got back to Moalboal we went back to our cosy Panagsama beach which is just stunning night time. I wish someone that likes me could win the lottery and give the money to me so I can go back there and drink mango smoothies all day.
Ciao!
