Rotorua & Taupo
Rotorua is a city on the north island that is known for its hot springs that consists sulphur. The town smells like egg fart and there is no way you can forget the fact that you're in Rotorua. After been spending a lot of money on activities lately (activities and accomodation are the most expensive parts of traveling New Zealand) we decided to find some free activities. We started with going to he botanical garden for a picnic and then we drove to the Redwood forest to go for a 3 h trek. It was nice and it was free and we could have a glimpse of the sulphur springs on the outlooks.

After the trek we started driving towards Taupo but stopped on the way and entered a very small and rocky road. In the end of this road we found these hot springs. It was a river full of hot water and water falls and people were just gathering for a free spa experience and drank their beers and hung out. It was such a cool experience. I would recommend everyone to go to Kerosene creek. It's free and it's beautiful and it's like entering an expensive jacuzzi, except it was super for free.

When we got to hot to stay in the springs we found a place in the forest where we tried camping for free for the first time. We had our dinner out in the grass and got attacked by a thousands of millions of mosquitos so we got in to the car and then I stayed awake all night. When I didn't kill mosquitos I just looked after police cars so I could prepared for my upcoming big fight. But no one came, except for all the mosquitos feating on our savory blood.

The day after we drove the remaining half an hour to Taupo and did a stop at the Hukafalls. We slept at a hostel, showered (!!!) and went to the botanical garden with a friend from the hostel. That day we didn't do a lot. We ate our noodles and were all trying to handle our nerves for the upcoming skydive the day after.

So this is what happened:
We got picked up by a limousine

We had anexiety up to our ears

We watched other people getting throwed out of airplanes while we were waiting

We tried to cover our panicking feelings by smiling (after this picture I had to sit down to not faint).

Then we jumped in to a pink airplane with our instructors

And then we flew up 12 000 meters and I got pushed out and I enjoyed it (?) how weird is that. The feeling of crashing in to the end of your life can be the best adrenaline you've ever experienced. I actually can't explain how much I liked it. After the 45 seconds of free fall it's all about gliding and enjoying the view. We got the cheapest package and paid 299 NZD for the dive and it was totally worth it. When I got back on the ground I just wanted to do it again.
